AMC CLASSIC Manitowoc 10

This theater is pretty good. I kind of miss the days of it being a Carmike Theater but AMC has done a good job of running the place. The service from the workers has always been good. I have seen quite a few movies here and never had an issue. In fact, the last time we came here we got more popcorn than we paid for so I was super happy. Shoutout to all of the workers at this theater that have delivered quality service over the years.

Recently saw Godzilla Minus One on screen #7. The screen had several rips in it which were visible for much of the movie. Also, sound bled in from the theater next door during the quiet scenes. They have to know that the screen is ripped, yet they still have showings in that theater. This doesn't speak well of their commitment to a quality experience.

As movie theaters go, this one is...ok. For such a relatively new facility, the bathrooms look like they've been negleted for decades. And during the movie I was watching, I could hear yelling coming from a different film nearby. The seats are merely adequate; I've gotten spoiled by the cushy, reclining seats at our Marcus theaters, so the basic fold-down plastic chairs don't feel nearly as comfortable by comparison. One positive thing is their mix-and-match soda machines with a wide variety of flavor variations (although a basic popcorn-and-soda combo cost more than 2 tickets for a weeknight showing). Nothing was absolutely atrocious to the point of making me say I'd never go back, but it definitely isn't high on my list of preferred theaters.

Filthy dirty. I don't go to the theater much because I prefer my home theater and this is exactly why. But my kids really wanted to see "Five Nights at Freddy's" on the opening weekend since this is apparently important to teen girls so I went with them. Haven't been to this theater since it opened. Was very disappointed by the popcorn everywhere, all over the counter, all over the drink area, all over everything. Change was everywhere as well. Very slow service despite what seemed like a manager just standing around behind the counter. Cashier gave us a cup with a very obviously deformed and crushed lip that a lid wouldn't fit on after waiting for 5 minutes for them to bring a new stack of cups out of the back when they forgot about it and I reminded them. The drink area was so sticky that it almost pulled my shoes off my feet. Looked like an employee was beginning to give a halfhearted attempt to clean it though. Saw an employee with her shoes on the serving counter as well. I didn't personally use the restroom, but the wife did and told me they were gross. Actual movie didn't start until 10:30 despite being scheduled to begin at 10:00, 30 minutes of ads. Not sure why anyone pays money for this experience. Won't be back if I can help it

Not a great experience. Went to see the Eras Tour movie on the 13th. No buckets left, only the cups and the employee I dealt with was incredibly rude. I get they were sold out of the buckets and had no merch other than the cups, which isn’t their fault, but there’s absolutely no reason to be that rude about it. She did not want to be there to say the least. The bathrooms definitely need an update. I would suggest using the family ones as they are much nicer.

Went to see Oppenheimer in the "Big D.".There was something wrong with the projector that cast cyan and magenta shadows on everything making the entire movie blurry. There are many black and white scenes and the magenta shadows were really off-putting. Told staff.. "they would look at it in a few minutes..". Waited 20 and left. I think it's a known issue with their big D theater due to a comment from another patron and then staff offering us a different theater showing. We got a refund for our tickets, didn't argue about $30 In refreshments but.. come on.. Won't be back I'd suggest people wait a bit until they address the issue. (They have ONE JOB) 🤦‍♂️
